ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
With THE VISITORS Constanza Macras continues a collaboration between Dorkypark and many of the young South African cast members of her successful show Hillbrowfication. The global tour of this high-energy performance reached one of its highpoints in 2022 at the Gebläsehalle in Duisburg as part of the Ruhrtriennale. For this reason, it only seems right that in THE VISITORS the Argentinian choreographer should pick up where she left off together with her South African team. Their new production dives into the strange world of Slasher movies, a sub-genre of horror cinema with its own set of narrative codes and aesthetic style. Through non-linear narratives and humorous associations, the 15 protagonists will struggle to get out of the grip of old monsters.
