I had the privilege of providing makeup artistry for Andreas Mühe’s photo production for the series “Friday the 13th” (2024). The works revolve around locations and visual spaces closely linked to contemporary German history, including references to the RAF (Stammheim cell) and the NSU (Jena), and are photographically condensed into precisely staged tableaus.

I was responsible for the design and creation of the masks exactly according to Andreas Mühe’s artistic specifications. My task was to translate his desired impressions and details into a feasible, camera-ready mask: precise in materiality, controlled in effect, and coordinated with the lighting, set, and photographic proximity.
